Great location; about 40mins walk to the Cathedral via High Street and Steep Hill. About 30mins to walk back. £7.70 taxi ride. Hotel was warm. We had a room on the 4th floor, accessible by lift, and at the BACK of the hotel; it was away from the road noise (maybe if on the front of the hotel). The room was ideal for a short break; comfortable; spotlessly clean; plenty of tea, coffee and milk sachets ( and if there were not enough, just ask for more). The staff were excellent; polite, obliging and corporately dressed. Two were especially helpful (both named Emily). Breakfast was good and was buffet style; cooked or ‘cold’ and it was always being replenished (however, I did find a hair in my bacon and informed a member of staff…she did apologise). But, in fairness, this did not detract from our stay. Car parking was immediately to the rear of the hotel and easily accessible; it was discounted at £10/ day. We shall use the same hotel if we return to Lincoln for a break. Yes, we recommend this hotel.

Charles

The room was a reasonable size and was clean and comfortable, The location was good - well within walking distance of the city centre and restaurants in the Quay area if the weather is good which, unfortunately for us, it often wasn't. We ate at the Holiday Inn Express on one evening. The restaurant was reasonable. The menu is fairly basic but the service was good and it was not bad value for money. The breakfast is excellent and is included in the room rate. The B&B rate was very good value for money.. Parking is plentiful and at £8.50 for 24 hours is not bad value. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay here again.

Peter

Our room was comfortable with just about enough hangers and shelving. The desk and long drawer were a good size and very useful. The bathroom was excellent. The walk in shower with lots of grab rails made a big difference to me. The two lifts were very efficient so there was hardly any waiting time. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The car park was very handy. There was lots of choice at breakfast and there was even porridge and fruit compote. It was always busy in the dining area but the staff worked hard to keep up with demand. This hotel is excellent value for money. The towels weren't automatically changed - hooray!!

Janet

Proficient and helpful staff Clean and functional facilities both public areas and in the room Location was perfect for the Engine Shed especially if you like massive roundabouts! Parking was ideal if a little over priced Breakfast was enjoyable and much improved over my previous experience as s Gold Card holder. Much nearer the Premier Inn offer. Room was spacious, well laid out, comfortable and quiet. Bathroom had a couple of minor issues eg poor ish flow from the shower and a less than fully secure sink unit. Overall very good and happy to recommend

Mark

The room was large, with both a settee and a desk chair. I love the blue light in the bathroom, meaning you can use the loo at night without disturbing your partner! The location would be excellent for anyone visiting the university. We were given a room over the car park, which was really quiet. Staff members were very friendly and helpful both when we arrived (before check-in time) and on check-in.
